The Minnesota Vikings went into Week 7 seeming like their season was just about over.

They had a 2-4 record with a game against the 5-1 San Francisco 49ers looming on Monday night, a slot that historically has been horrendous for QB Kirk Cousins.

Instead, the Vikings managed to pull off a huge upset and have found themselves right in the middle of the playoff mix heading into Week 8 against the Green Bay Packers. Here is a look at all the Vikings snap counts from this latest win.

  • C Garrett Bradbury (70)
  • QB Kirk Cousins (70)
  • LT Christian Darrisaw (70)
  • RG Ed Ingram (70)
  • RT Brian O’Neill (70)
  • LG Dalton Risner (70)
  • WR K.J. Osborn (65)
  • TE T.J. Hockenson (59)
  • WR Jordan Addison (52)
  • WR Brandon Powell (43)
  • RB Alexander Mattison (37)
  • TE Josh Oliver (30)
  • RB Cam Akers (27)
  • WR Trishton Jackson (11)
  • FB C.J. Ham (11)
  • TE Johnny Mundt (8)
  • WR N’Keal Harry (4)
  • RB Ty Chandler (2)

Of course, the Vikings had another notable absence on their offense with Ezra Cleveland sitting out of this game with a foot injury. However, Dalton Risner stepped in and performed valiantly in his place. PFF gave the Vikings left guard a 65.0 grade for his showing, and he was surprisingly effective in run-blocking moreso than pass protection.

Jordan Addison also had his breakout game of the year, but he had to sit out a long portion of this game because of a leg cramp. As a result, Trishton Jackson and N’Keal Harry earned a few opportunities to play with the offense. It was a similar story for T.J. Hockenson, who was in and out of the game with an ankle injury. This allowed a few extra snaps for Johnny Mundt.

  • CB Andrew Booth (13)
  • S Theo Jackson (7)
  • LB Ivan Pace (5)
  • DL Khyiris Tonga (5)
  • DL Jaquelin Roy (2)

Camryn Bynum continues to be an absolute star in the Vikings secondary and earned a 92.0 PFF grade on Monday, the highest among all safeties in Week 7. It was good to see Akayleb Evans be able to play virtually the entire game as well, considering he has been a bit banged up over the past couple weeks.

Ivan Pace’s workload continues to shrink in the defense as well. He played just five snaps with the defense on Monday, earning fewer snaps than both Theo Jackson and Andrew Booth. Minnesota has continued to play just one off-ball linebacker more often than not, and it helps that Jordan Hicks has been completely rejuvenated in this defense.

While Pace hasn’t been getting much run with the defense as of late, he was amongst the snap leaders in special teams. He and Troy Dye were at the top of the Vikings special teams snap count against the Niners.

Kene Nwangwu finally got on the field for the first time this season as well. It wasn’t his most spectacular game, returning just two kicks for a total of 41 yards. He is still one of the most explosive return men in the league, though, so hopefully we get to see him break off a big kick return soon.
