For a little while, we’ve known the opponents.

Coming off an NFC North title, the Vikings’ schedule is set to become more difficult. Of the 17 games, a majority will be played on the road. Unlike last season, 9 will be on the road and 8 will be played in front of the tremendous fans at U.S. Bank Stadium. The actual opponents appear pretty daunting (the result of winning the North).

Take a peak at who they’ll be playing at home:

  • Chicago Bears (3-14)
  • Detroit Lions (9-8)
  • Green Bay Packers (8-9)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (14-3)
  • Los Angeles Chargers (10-7)
  • New Orleans Saints (7-10)
  • San Francisco 49ers (13-4)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-9)

And then on the road:

  • Atlanta Falcons (7-10)
  • Carolina Panthers (7-10)
  • Chicago Bears (3-14)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (12-5)
  • Denver Broncos (5-12)
  • Detroit Lions (9-8)
  • Green Bay Packers (8-9)
  • Las Vegas Raiders (6-11)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (14-3)

Every year, the NFL witnesses leaks for some of the games. In effect, there’s a layering of news before the official announcement takes place (Thursday, May 11 for our purposes). We’ve got the tracker going to function as a one-stop-shop for all of the Vikings’ schedule news. Take a peak at what we know so far.

Coming off a reasonably shocking 13-4 final record, the Vikings will be looking to show they aren’t flukes. Minnesota faced no shortage of criticism from without and within. Doubt reigns in the minds of many, even those within the borders of Vikings Land.

Kevin O’Connell is relying on continuity, Brian Flores magic, and a subdued approach to adding talent to put together another sterling record. We’ll see if that approach ends up paying off.

As Kevin Seifert of ESPN points out, the announcement of the NFL’s international games confirms that Minnesota will be sticking around North America in 2023. Last season, the team snagged a win against the Saints while in London.

There are some rumblings of a Christmas Eve game against the Lions, per Alec Lewis.
