Vikings Podcast: Past, Present, & Future

Has the offseason craziness left you with confusion and disarray? If so, we’ve got something for you. On the latest episode of Notes from the North – a humble Vikings podcast – Sizzlin’ Sam and I offer a succinct roundup of the news and rumors for the Purple & Gold.

Take a peak at what Sizzlin’ Sam had to say: “On this weeks episode of Notes from the North, Kyle and Sam discuss the latest on what has happened most recently for the Vikings (and former Vikings), then move into what things currently look like with cap space, and lastly look at what the options are moving forward before closing with a little hockey talk.”

Free agency started off pretty hot with a few good-size signings. Since then, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has shifted to a more restrained approach, one that prioritizes increasing competition with valuable depth pieces. Reasonable minds can disagree about the best and worst moves, but there’s little debate that the Vikings’ GM has taken a very deliberate approach to the offseason.

We spend a bit of time discussing how Minnesota can create a bit more room in the 2023 offseason. After all, they currently don’t have enough in the budget to sign their draft class, so we know that something has to get adjusted.

Hockey talk makes a comeback! The NHL playoffs is fast approaching, so Sizzlin’ Sam gets put on the spot for some predictions. We’ll get his take on the Wild in a future episode.

Folks who are into Vikings podcasts or think they’d like to get into Vikings podcasts should feel free to give Notes from the North a shot. Hop over to iTunes, Spotify, or Podbean. My understanding is that you don’t need an account at these spots. Just press play and enjoy the pod.

Enjoy the listening, Vikings fan.
