The Vikings’ Depth Chart Going Into Week 2 Against the Eagles

In all likelihood, Lincoln Financial Field will be a house of horrors (as discussed on Notes).

Yes, the Vikings (0-1) will be looking to take down the Eagles (1-0) while on the road. Once again, the game is taking place in Week 2. Last year’s bout ended in a disappointing 24-7 loss, bringing everyone back down to earth after the encouraging victory over the Packers. Fast forward a year and the team has reversed things, coming off a discouraging loss to the Bucs. Does the Vikings’ depth chart possess enough talent to get the job done against a talented team in Philly?

Unfortunately, the Vikings are moving through some injury concerns leading up to the game. Marcus Davenport is hurt, which has been a trend throughout his career. Ultra talented, Davenport can’t seem to get ahead of the sticks when it comes to his health. Partnering him with Danielle Hunter would be a wonderful development for the defense but we’ll see what happens.

Meanwhile, the team is also navigating injuries to Garrett Bradbury and Christian Darrisaw. Austin Schlottmann did a fine job replacing Bradbury last week, but there’s no replacing the left tackle. Thankfully, the sophomore lineman was able to put in some limited work, so maybe he’ll be ready to roll in time for Week 2.

The Eagles have their own injury troubles, most notably on defense. Nakobe Dean won’t able to play and corner James Bradberry seems unlikely to get onto the field. Stud DT Fletcher Cox is also dealing with an injury, so we’ll see if the veteran will be healthy enough for game action.

Kickoff is scheduled to happen at 7:15 CDT. Enjoy.
