The View from VT: Trading for a Young QB, Confirming a Suspicion, & The Thrilling Word

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look of five of their articles from the past week.
1) Vikings Predicted to Trade for Young QB: I’ll believe it when I see it. True, Kirk Cousins has the single, lonely year left, but the team has other options. During the offseason, Nick Mullens agreed to a multi-year deal and then Jaren Hall arrived via the 5th round. We’ll see if the Vikings add someone else.

2) Titans Sign Former Vikings Defender: Jaleel Johnson struggled while with the Vikings. He has become a journeyman, venturing around the NFL to provide depth and competition for the interior of the defensive line. Hopefully, he can settle into Tennessee and provide some strong snaps.
3) Alexander Mattison Confirms a Suspicion about 2023 Vikings: Expect plenty of Alexander Mattison in 2023. Many think of his powerful running, but don’t be surprised to see him do damage as a receiver. He has some silky mitts.
4) New Viking Pleasantly Surprised at OTAs: Nothing but positive news coming out of OTAs. Still a long way to go before the season arrives, but continuing to build on the positivity is a good thing. The hope is that Mr. Davenport plays so well that Minnesota is compelled to keep him around long term.

5) Harrison Smith Uses Thrilling Word to Describe New Defense: The Hitman is the best safety of his generation. He belongs in the Hall of Fame when his career is done and fans should expect to see #22 in the Vikings Ring of Honor someday. Smith’s partnership with Flores is one of the more fascinating developments for the upcoming season.
