Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look of five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: July 8th, 2023

1) Vikings Are Predicted to Trade for Star Safety: Personally, I don’t see this one. Sure, the All-Pro safety is an exceptional player, someone who would certainly improve Minnesota’s secondary. Does it really make sense, though, to invest so heavily in a non-premium position when the team already has so much talent there? A wiser move may involve targeting a pass rusher or corner.

2) Former Vikings Safety is Back on the Market: Like many others, I tend to cheer for the former Vikings. Hopefully, the depth safety can settle in somewhere as a valuable contributor on both special teams and defense.

3) Oft-Rumored Free Agent Again Linked to Vikings: Until the Vikings start chewing through some of that cap space, the theories about potential adds will persist. After all, we’re discussing a team with a clear desire to be competitive and a clear need to continue improving the roster. Maybe the oft-rumored free agent will end up wearing purple and gold.

4) A Longtime Viking Appears to be Done Playing Football: If this is indeed the end for Mr. Rudolph, then it has been a wonderful career. His play in the overtime playoff game against the Saints was both legal and sensational. He’ll be fondly remembered in Minnesota for his on-field play and off-field contributions. Great player.

5) Dalvin Cook Reportedly Doesn’t Like the Latest Offer: Well, to a certain extent that should be assumed. If he really loved an offer he would have, well, signed the contract. The fact that he’s still a free agent suggests that whatever has been sent in his direction isn’t entirely to his liking.
