Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.

The View from VT: October 14th, 2023

1) A Pile of Bad News Awaits Vikings: No doubt. Dropping to 1-4 isn’t what anyone had in mind in Eagan, but the real issue is losing Justin Jefferson to the IR. The team’s best player, Jefferson is at such a level that he’s impossible to replace. Life without #18 will present some challenges.

2) Jason Kelce Heaps Praise on One Vikings Rookie: After retiring, Jason Kelce will get inducted into the Hall of Fame. He’s the gold standard for center play and has been so for a long time. Hearing him kick praise in the UDFA’s direction is a worthwhile tidbit.

3) Former Viking Apparently Demoted in New York: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah looks smart for moving on from Dalvin Cook. The well-paid RB hasn’t been able to assert himself in New York, barely factoring into the offense even though he signed a pretty large deal.

4) New Trade Destination for Kirk Cousins Hits Social Media: Spooktober is well underway, so let’s explore a horror metaphor. In a typical slasher flick, the boogeyman remains stubbornly alive no matter how formidable the opposition. Well, the NFL’s version may be Kirk Cousins trade rumors. No matter how many times they get defeated, they keep rising back up. For some, it’s a horrifying sight.

5) Vikings Audition Popular Veteran QB: The optimists will say this is about securing the QB2 position as Nick Mullens heals and Jaren Hall develops. The pessimists will say this is about securing a tank commander for when Kirk Cousins gets shipped to a far off land (like Atlanta, Pittsburgh, or some other location). We’ll have to see what reality brings.
