The View from VT: Incoming Acquisition, the Perfect Player, & Reuniting w/ Thielen
Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: September 2nd, 2023
1) Vikings Latest Roster Move Indicates an Incoming Acquisition: There are certain spots on the roster that would really benefit from some added reinforcements. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has some extra cap space after pulling off the T.J. Hockenson extension, so we’ll see what the GM has planned.
2) Texans Release Just the Perfect Player for the Vikings: A tale that was too good to be true, perhaps. Minnesota’s corner position continues to be super thin. The plan, quite evidently, is to lean on plenty of safety help.
3) Former Vikings Receiver Gets Traded to Carolina, Re-Unites with Thielen: In a lot of ways, needing to move on from Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and the Chiefs more broadly is bad news. That’s a good offense for a receiver. On the other hand, joining forces with Adam Thielen once again isn’t a bad way to go. Cheering for the former Viking.
4) Former Viking Dropped by Jets: New York’s loss is Minnesota’s gain. Things didn’t work out with Robert Saleh’s crew but there was an opening on the Vikings practice squad, so the linebacker is now a step away from getting into the Brian Flores defense on Sundays.
5) Kevin O’Connell Wants to Keep His Rookie: Can you blame the head coach? The 5th-round pick has shown plenty of promise since getting to Minnesota. Give O’Connell some more time to work alongside the youngster.
