The View from VT: Goodbye RB, New Blood is Arriving, & a Star Returns

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: September 30th, 2023
1) Eagles Sign Former Vikings RB: Philadelphia is marching toward another impressive season. Unfortunately, the Vikings found themselves on the losing end of their Eagles game, largely due to what Philly accomplished on the ground. The former Vikings RB will look to help the Eagles to keep dominating on the ground.

2) New Blood on the Way for Vikings: Expect both Dalton Risner and Cam Akers to get snaps this Sunday. The Vikings brought these players in for a reason, so failing to integrate them into the lineup would be an odd twist.
3) Former Vikings QB Heads to Jets: As Kirk Cousins continues to live in the trade rumors, one of his backups hops over to Robert Saleh’s team. Zach Wilson isn’t doing much to circumvent the belief that he’s a bust. Maybe the veteran journeyman who used to call Minnesota home will get a start or two before the season ends.

4) Vikings Part Ways with Veteran Running Back: Bringing Akers to town meant someone from the roster had to go. A zero-sum game, an NFL roster can be a ruthless spot. In time, perhaps, the former Dolphin may get a chance to reassert himself in Minnesota.
5) Vikings Star Returns on Sunday: Very difficult — impossible? — to replace the excellent left tackle. Getting him back up front should make Cousins stand a little taller. When he isn’t battling an injury, Christian Darrisaw is among the better left tackles in football.
