Last month, the Minnesota Vikings made the difficult decision to release four-time Pro Bowl running back Dalvin Cook. Ever since, the league has been ablaze with rumors regarding where the veteran could land in 2023. Well, apparently, Cook officially has received an offer from the franchise that has long-been rumored to be a potential landing spot for him: the Miami Dolphins.

According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, Cook has received an offer from the team, and Cook has called the Dolphins a “perfect fit.” However, the report suggests that he is in no rush to sign a contract, so it could be some time still before an official decision is made.

A Kirk Cousins “Tug of War” in 2024?

There has always been some sort of rumor swirling around Kirk Cousins essentially since he signed with the Vikings back in 2018. With Minnesota opting not to give the quarterback a contract extension this summer, these rumors have only ramped up over the past few months.

Most recently, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk discussed a potential “tug of war” between two teams not named the Vikings for the quarterback: the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams. The main motive behind this potential duel over Cousins? Durability. Cousins has never missed a game because of injury in his career. Meanwhile, both NFC West franchises faced QB injuries throughout the year.
