Less Than a Day on The Job, Jordan Addison is Already Providing Some Sensational Quotes

Young Vikings Receiver

Jordan Addison has personality.

Indeed, the young wide receiver isn’t shy about sharing his opinions and confidence in himself. That’s a good thing, folks. Clearly, the 21-year-old believes he’s capable of doing great things.

Almost immediately after being drafted, Addison took some questions from Melissa Stark of NFL Network. After the necessary comment that he’s ready to go to work, the USC WR promised to form the NFL’s best WR duo (alongside Justin Jefferson), how his desire is to “go get paid,” and that they’ll “score all night.”

Take a look:

He spoke with the Minnesota media not too long afterwards. At one point, he was asked about how he can succeed in the NFL given that he is a bit smaller (he’s 6’0″, 175 pounds). His solution? “Make plays, catch the ball, score touchdowns.” The declarative statement is notable for its clear-cut simplicity and confidence. And, in the end, it’s true. Who cares how much he weighs if he’s constantly making plays?

Part of what makes the comment even more wild is that the young receiver didn’t flinch. He simply made his three-pronged proclamation and than sat in silence for a few moments. He didn’t feel any need to back down from his claim or get into anything else. Another media member jumped in with a different question after a few seconds of silence.

No matter how good someone is, the NFL Draft and all that comes with it is a nerve-wracking experience, but it’s hard not to like how he projects confidence.

On his social media, Jordan Addison was similarly outgoing. He proclaimed that it was “Scary hours in Minnesota” while sharing a Madden clip of him in a Vikings uniform. When the NFL’s official Twitter account shared a photo of him alongside Jefferson with the same caption – Scary hours in Minnesota – Addison was sure to retweet it.

Last season, he put up 875 yards and 8 TDs for USC. Previously, he played for Pittsburgh, and he had a monstrous 2021 season that culminated in 1593 yards and 17 TDs. If he can continue to show that he isn’t plagued by drops, then Addison may help push Minnesota’s offense into the top 5 in the NFL.
