The Minnesota Vikings began their training camp this week, with veterans reporting to camp on Tuesday.

Prior to camp, the team placed both OLB Andre Carter and IOL Chris Reed on injury lists, but the rest of the team went into camp fully healthy.

However, reports surfaced on Thursday that WR Jalen Nailor didn’t practice. Alec Lewis of The Athletic tweeted out a summary of the day, reporting the news, that read: “Vikings camp is over for the day. Danielle Hunter was not out there for practice. Brian O’Neill continues to rehab. Jalen Nailor also did not participate today. Should get more on that tomorrow.”

Nailor has been a popular choice among Vikings fans to be a breakout player in 2023 after a strong conclusion to his 2022 season. The wide receiver’s rookie season saw him spend most of his time contributing to the special teams, appearing in 15 games. However, down the stretch of the season, he saw a much larger role on the offense.

Over the final two games of the regular season, Nailor caught seven passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. In total, the rookie caught nine passes for 179 yards and a touchdown, very similarly to his freshman year at Michigan State before he broke out in the Spartans offense.

Kevin O’Connell spoke on his excitment for Nailor’s role in 2023, saying, “I’m excited for a guy like Jalen Nailor and Jalen Reagor, to get a chance to really compete and have the ability in year two to play multiple spots, and handle that, which is really, really important.”

For now, there is no news on a potential injury regarding the wide receiver, and if it was a serious matter that occurred on Wednesday, we likely would have heard more on it prior to now. Hopefully, the receiver is fine, and this is simply a precautionary measure.
