The Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings are set to kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field in just about an hour.

Ahead of that game, the Eagles listed 7 players as inactive for tonight’s NFC matchup. The full list of players includes the following:

  • RB Kenneth Gainwell
  • QB Tanner McKee
  • CB James Bradberry
  • S Reed Blankenship
  • OL Tyler Steen
  • DT Moro Ojomo
  • TE Albert Okwuegbunam

We’ve known since Wednesday that all three of Blankenship, Bradberry, and Gainwell would be out due to injuries. Without two starters in the secondary, Minnesota’s talented pass-catchers should be able to get open.

However, the one Eagle that was listed as questionable coming into the game will be active tonight: DT Fletcher Cox. This will be a huge boost to Philadelphia’s elite pass-rush. The veteran defensive tackle recorded 3 tackles and a QB hit against the Patriots on Sunday.

With the Eagles defensive front at full strength tonight, the Vikings offensive line, particularly the IOL, have a daunting task in front of them. Not only is Cox there, but rookie Jalen Carter produced 8 pressures in his regular season NFL debut, which tied for the league lead.

Jordan Davis, Haason Redick, and Josh Sweat will also provide support to the defensive front, and with the Vikings missing their starting center Garrett Bradbury, Austin Schlottmann is going to need to step up and keep Kirk Cousins’ jersey clean.

In last year’s Week 2 primetime matchup between the two teams, Cousins was sacked just twice, but he faced constant pressure throughout the night.

Minnesota also got some good news ahead of tonight’s game as both Christian Darrisaw and Marcus Davenport will be active tonight. Darrisaw’s presence at left tackle will hopefully lessen any blows that Philadelphia throws at the Vikings tonight.

Kickoff is just minutes away between the two teams, set for 7:15 PM Central.
