The Minnesota Vikings are coming off a short week after pulling off a terrific upset of the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.

This weekend, they are set to do battle against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field in a game that could go a long way towards sorting out the two teams’ chances at making the playoffs in January.

While this is the game on just about everyone’s minds in the upper Midwest, there are plenty of other games to follow throughout the day. Here is a look at the national broadcast maps for Week 8. Per usual, the maps are courtesy of 506sports.com.

National Broadcast Maps for Week 8 of the NFL Season

CBS (Early)

National Broadcast Maps for Week 8 of the NFL Season
  • Red: Jacksonville Jaguars at Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Blue: New York Jets at New York Giants
  • Green: New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
  • Yellow: Atlanta Falcons at Tennessee Titans

If for whatever reason Vikings fans aren’t tuning into the Minnesota/Green Bay game at noon on Sunday, there are a couple great matchups over on CBS to start the day.

Most folks will get Jackonville vs. Pittsburgh, in a matchup between two AFC playoff contenders. The Jaguars have been on a heater over the past few weeks, being winners of four-straight games heading into the weekend. Two of those games have been double-digit victories.

Pittsburgh, on the other hand, has won four of their last five and are coming off an impressive 24-17 victory over the Rams last weekend. Something has to give between these two red-hot teams, and it will come to a head at noon.

CBS (Late)

  • Red: Cincinnati Bengals at San Francisco 49ers
  • Blue: Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos
  • Green: Baltimore Ravens at Arizona Cardinals

At the conclusion of the Vikings game, most of Minnesota will be treated to a heavyweight matchup between the Cincinnati Bengals and San Francisco 49ers.

Of course, the 49ers are coming off a short week after losing to the Vikings on Monday night. They have now lost two consecutive games after their 5-0 start. There was some question throughout the week as to Brock Purdy’s status for this game, but he passed through concussion protocols and should suit up.

As for the Bengals, they began the season 0-3, but they have won three in a row to fight their way back into the AFC North mix. Their offense has been a bit shaky this year, scoring 30+ points just once. Still, they are coming off a bye and should be well-rested for this game.

FOX (Single)

  • Red: Los Angeles Rams at Dallas Cowboys
  • Green: Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Commanders
  • Yellow: Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers
  • Orange: New Orleans Saints at Indianapolis Colts
  • Teal: Houston Texans at Carolina Panthers
  • Blue: Cleveland Browns at Seattle Seahawks (LATE)

The upper Midwest will witness the latest installment of the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings facing off on FOX. The two teams have been on oppositie trajectories all season, and now, they are both fighting to place themselves back in the playoff picture.

Green Bay started the season with a 2-1 record, but they are now coming off three losses in a row, including a loss to the Denver Broncos last weekend following their bye week. Much of this has come because of injuries across their roster and subpar play from QB Jordan Love, who has thrown six interceptions during the losing streak.

As for Minnesota, they have been the complete opposite. They started the year 0-3, and other than a hiccup against the defending champs in Week 5, they have been a completely different team. They are currently riding a two-game winning streak and have fought back to a 3-4 record.
