Vikings List 2 Starters as Inactive for Sunday

The Minnesota Vikings are set to do battle with the Atlanta Falcons in just over an hour.
This will be a huge test for Minnesota as they will head into the game without WR Justin Jefferson as well as starting QB Kirk Cousins. Instead, Jaren Hall is set to make his first start of his NFL career.
Ahead of the game, Minnesota has released their inactive list for Sunday, and the Vikings listed an additional 2 starters as inactive. They will be without DL Dean Lowry, who was ruled out on Friday, as well as LT Christian Darrisaw.
Vikings List 2 Starters as Inactive for Sunday

Here is the full inactive list for the Vikings ahead of the game:
- S Lewis Cine
- RB Kene Nwangwu
- LB Brian Asamoah
- TE Nick Muse
- LT Christian Darrisaw
- WR Jalen Nailor
- DL Dean Lowry
Darrisaw was downgraded to questionable on Saturday after suffering a groin injury, and he will indeed miss his second game of the 2023 season.
The third-year pro has been a stalwart at left tackle throughout his entire NFL career after being selected in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. This season, Darrisaw has been graded as the second-best offensive lineman by PFF, earning an 86.0 score through eight weeks. He trails only Jordan Mailata, who owns a grade of 86.9.

Without Darrisaw in the lineup, an already tough test for Hall gets even more difficult. In his place, it seems like David Quessenberry is now in line to start as Oli Udoh is out for the season.
Meanwhile, Jalen Nailor is also listed as inactive despite being activated to the 53-man roster this weekend. The wide receiver has been on IR since the conclusion of Week 2, but he will have to wait at least one more week before getting back on the field.
The Michigan State product has yet to get on the field with the Vikings offense this season after recording 9 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown during the 2022 campaign.

Minnesota will also need to turn to some extra help on the special teams without LB Brian Asamoah, S Lewis Cine, or RB Kene Nwangwu suiting up. Nwangwu has been an explosive kick returner throughout the first couple years of his NFL career, but now, it seems like Ty Chandler will get another chance on Sunday against Atlanta.
Kickoff between the Falcons and Vikings is scheduled for 12 PM Central inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
