Q: How many former Vikings coaches have the Arizona Cardinals hired in the last month?

A: The Cardinals have hired five former Vikings coaches this month, including head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator, defensive line coach, and linebackers coach.

  • HC = Jonathan Gannon
  • DC = Nick Rallis
  • OC = Drew Petzing
  • DL = Robert Rodriguez
  • LBs = Sam Seifkes

It’s a huge Vikings party in the desert.

Q: Would you support the Vikings drafting Bijan Robinson if he’s on the board at No. 23?

A: Yes, because he’s “one of those picks” where you might groan on draft night and then become bedazzled in September.

If he falls to the Vikings at No. 23, he’d be the “best player available,” and that’s everyone’s favorite philosophy — until it’s time to draft a running back.

We won’t emphatically pound the table for Robinson but also won’t be disappointed if it happens.

Never forget — the Vikings didn’t need a running back in 2007 when they drafted Adrian Peterson. Not a bad Hall of Fame swerve.

Q: Would you take a gamble on Robert Woods in free agency?

A: No.

If he were added to the WR hodgepodge, he’d be “just another one” with K.J. Osborn, Jalen Nailor, and Jalen Reagor. And, of course, Adam Thielen is in the big wildcard here, as no one is sure he’ll return with his $19.9 million cap hit.

Woods would be a really neat WR3 option, but the Vikings have plenty of those.

There’s always a chance Woods fires up a resurrection season, but we wouldn’t count on it.
