The offseason is now entering the time when news becomes more scarce. As a result, we at Notes from the North are putting forth some more unusual episodes. The first one offers a few thoughts on how to understand the numbers that are used to describe a defense.
What’s a 4-3 or a 3-4 defense? What about the terms associated with different personnel, such as nickel and dime? We offer a few thoughts that will hopefully clarify some of the confusion.
