Q: Should the Vikings pursue Johnathan Abram via waivers?

A: Sure, absolutely.

He need not start for Camryn Bynum — who isn’t exactly a Pro Bowler — but safety depth won’t hurt with Lewis Cine on the shelf until 2023.

A former 1st-Rounder, Abram has never tallied a Pro Football Focus grade over 57.0 in a single season. But does anyone really trust the Raiders operations to maximize anybody?

Abram indeed hits the waiver process, meaning the teams with the worst records get a crack at his services first. That also means the Vikings are at the very end of the list, next to the Philadelphia Eagles. We shall see if he tunnels below that far. Probably not.

Q: How many times have the Vikings had seven-game win streaks in team history?

A: Six.

In franchise history, Minnesota has notched seven-game in-season winning streaks six times (1969, 1970, 1973, 1975, 1998, 2017).

The Vikings stand at six games right now. Extending to streak to seven is wildly daunting in Buffalo — if Josh Allen plays. If he does not, the Vikings should reasonably knock off their old pal, Case Keenum.

Vegas must believe Allen will play, as Minnesota is a six-point underdog.

Q: Who will start if Cameron Dantzler can’t play on Sunday?

A: It would be borderline criminal not to let rookie Akayleb Evans have a stab at the gig after his sweet performance in relief of Dantzler at Washington.

Otherwise, Andrew Booth (a rookie) and Kris Boyd are alternatives. Had Evans not shined in Week 9, Boyd might have a shot to start. But Evans was marvelous and likely earned a start at Buffalo — an ominous spot for one’s first career start.
