Vikings Training Camp Dates and Availability for Fans
We’re less than a month away from training camp. Rookies report on July 24th and the rest of the team gets in on the 26th.
The team has announced what practices will be available to the public while also clarifying the breakdown for the practices:
In 2022, the Vikings will host 9 padded practices and five unpadded sessions. Four unpadded practices will be free for all attendees, while eight padded sessions will be free for kids 17 and younger and $5 for adults. Two premier practices will be available at $10 for adults, $5 for children 17 and younger and free for children under 36″ tall. A portion of all ticket sale proceeds will go to the Minnesota Vikings Foundation. Additional ticket offers, including all-inclusive food & beverage options, are also available for purchase.
They also note that season ticket holders get priority for purchasing tickets: “Tickets will be available to Season Ticket Members beginning at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, and to the general public at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 30.”
The Vikings break things down into three broad categories. The premier practices are July 30th and August 8th. The padded practices are “August 1, 3, 5, 6, 10, 11, 17, 18.” The non-padded practices are “August 2, 7, 12, 16.”
The team’s website also includes information on parking, concessions, autographs, and other pertinent topics for the training camp experience.
Fans will get the chance to see Kevin O’Connell and his staff get work in with the Vikings roster. The new leadership group can hopefully start moving this team toward becoming a contender in 2022. Some of the leading questions will center on the QB2 competition, how things proceed along the OL, what the new defensive scheme looks like, and whether Greg Joseph succeeds at kicker.
