Many of the same faces that appeared on Wednesday’s injury report for the Vikings remained on Thursday’s report. However, we did see some positive changes to the Vikings injury report on Thursday compared to Wednesday’s.

Most importantly, two players listed yesterday as either DNP or Limited were full participants on Thursday. Cam Bynum did not participate on Wednesday due to a personal matter that he attended to, but he came back on Thursday to practice in full and is off the report. Meanwhile, Za’Darius Smith fully participated as well after being a limited participant on Wednesday with a knee injury.

As for the others four players, there are no changes. Adam Thielen remains on the report with his own knee injury, but he fully participated for the second consecutive day. Cam Dantzler remain limited with a neck injury while both Jalen Nailor and Dalvin Tomlinson were DNPs on Thursday.

Nailor is still being hampered by the illness that kept him out on Wednesday. Tomlinson’s calf injury that he suffered in Sunday’s win over the Cardinals kept him out.

In fact, it’s becoming more likely that Tomlinson misses this Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders. If this is indeed the case, it would be the first time the 28-year-old defender misses a game with injury in his entire NFL career.

Because of this, the development that Smith is getting healthier is crucial for the Vikings defense on Sunday. Potentially missing one defender on the defensive front is stressful enough, but two could put Ed Donatell in a real pickle.

Nothing has been decided for Sunday yet, obviously, but the fact that both Bynum and Smith are fully practicing should be considered a positive for this weekend’s game against the Commanders.
