The View from VT: Main Defensive Problem, Darrisaw’s Return, & Pass Rusher Chance

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look of five of their articles from the past week.
1) Popular NFL Analyst Identifies Vikings Main Defensive Problem: The coverage has definitely been an issue. Adjusting things so that the team embraces super competitive, physical coverage would be fine by me. What’s clear is that they can’t continue with what they’re currently doing.
2) Justin Jefferson is Outproducing Several Teams’ Entire WR Groups: Pretty wild, but it’s true. Jefferson has more yards than 4 others teams’ entire WR groups. A couple hundred more yards and he’ll have a top 10 season of all time.
3) Christian Darrisaw’s Return is a Bigger Deal Than You Think: He’s an elite player. Having him lockdown one side of the line allows Kevin O’Connell to devote attention elsewhere. In an ideal world, Darrisaw will not only be fully healthy but also be able to return to the level of play he demonstrated before his concussions.
4) So, Is Kirk Cousins Back?: Cousins has had an excellent season. In fact, I’d argue that it’s his best season in the NFL. Admittedly, my knowledge of his time in Washington is quite limited, so perhaps I’d need to consider some of those earlier seasons. Regardless, it has been an impressive year for the QB1. He’s a different player.
5) Former Vikings Pass Rusher Gets a Shot with AFC Playoff Team: Glad to see the young guy get another shot. Making it in the NFL isn’t easy. Hopefully, the chance with the Titans will lead to good things for him.
