Midweek VT: Low Packers, A Ghastly History, & A Measuring Trade

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we occasionally promote what they have to offer. Take a look at five of their articles from the early part of the week.

1) Packers Playoff Chances Fall to Embarrassing Low: It has been a rough stretch of games for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Up next for them is the Buffalo Bills. Hopefully, former Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier can have his defense put forth a dominant day. Seeing GB sink to 3-5 – especially if it coincides with a Minnesota win – would be massive for the NFC North race.

2) Cardinals Have Ghastly History in Minnesota: Truthfully, I don’t often put a ton of emphasis on history. After all, the past games don’t impact the score when the ball is kicked off on game day. Nevertheless, it’s perhaps worth noting that history suggests the MN Vikings have an advantage.

3) TDN Sends the Vikings a TE in Latest Mock Draft: Mock drafts in October feel a bit like seeing Christmas decorations in stores during October: a touch early. Regardless of how I feel, sites continue to put out mock drafts (and stores Christmas decorations). Obviously, there is some desire for this sort of stuff.

4) Vikings Won’t Face Matt Ryan when They Play the Colts: I believed Matt Ryan was going to do excellently in Indianapolis. My rationale was simply that he’s a good vet moving from a declining team to one with a great head coach and some strong support on offense. Alas, I ended up being wrong in my assessment. We’ll see how the Vikings/Colts game goes when the time arrives.

5) The Jets Trade with Jaguars is a Measuring Stick for Vikings: Really unfortunate to hear that the Jets have lost a couple of key players. Acquiring the former Jaguars RB makes a lot of sense. Minnesota will take this team on in Week 13.

Enjoy the extra reading, Minnesota Vikings fans. Skol.
