The Colts Have Named Their Starting QB for Week 15 vs. Vikings
The Indianapolis Colts spent Week 14 on their bye, and with their QB situation in flux over recent weeks, this shed some doubt as to who the guy under center for Indy might be when the Colts take on the Minnesota Vikings this Saturday. Well, the mystery is over early in the week.
The Colts have named their starting QB for Week 15, and it appears that they are going back to Matt Ryan this week. Head coach Jeff Saturday made the announcement on Monday, per Zak Keefer of The Athletic.

Ryan has started 11 games for the Colts this season to a very mixed bag of success. The Colts have gone 4-6-1 with him under center, but the longtime Atlanta Falcon and 2016 MVP has passed for 2875 yards, 13 TDs, and 13 INTs this season. His 13 INTs lead the league during the 2022 season, and combine that with a league-leading 14 fumbles, it becomes quite clear why the Colts have struggled to find success this season.
The starter for the Colts other two games this season was Sam Ehlinger, who Indy drafted in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. In those two games, the second-year QB also found some struggles, especially during his second start against the New England Patriots.
In that game against the Bill Belichick defense, Ehlinger completed just 15 of his 29 passes for 103 yards and an interception. The main reason for these struggles was the duress he faced in the pocket. Ehlinger was sacked a whopping nine times throughout the afternoon. In all, Ehlinger has totaled 304 passing yards without any touchdowns in 2022.
The Colts struggling duo at QB should be a welcomed sight to the Vikings and their fans, who have been treated to five consecutive games in which their defense has allowed over 400 yards of offense. If this happens again, against an offense that has put up that many yards just three times all season, we should officially declare this unit a disaster.
