Cam Dantzler Is Officially Back
As Ian Rapoport would say, it’s officially official. Cam Dantzler is officially back for the Minnesota Vikings after being activated from IR on Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings starting cornerback is set to make his comeback from an ankle sprain in Week 14, and just in the nick of time as earlier this week, fellow CB Akayleb Evans made his way to injured reserve after suffering his third concussion of the season.

Joining him on the active roster will be CB Tay Gowan as well as safety Myles Dorn. Each of these players have been elevated off the practice squad for a third time this season, and in order to play again this season, they will have to be signed to the 53-man roster.
Meanwhile, a third Viking hits IR this week. Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard has been placed on injured reserve due to the bicep injury that has kept him out of practice all week.
As for the Lions, they made a few roster moves on Saturday as well. Firstly, they signed G Ross Piershbacher from the practice squad. The offensive lineman has appeared in two games so far this season off the practice squad. Much like Dorn and Gowan for the Vikings, Detroit would have had to sign Pierschbacher to the 53-man roster in order to play him again in 2022 after this week. They got it out of the way by signing him a week early.
Detroit also placed CB Chase Lucas on IR. The rookie CB has been struggling through a hamstring injury this week, and after appearing in six games for Detroit, the seventh-round pick’s regular season may be over. That is, unless he is activated for Week 18 in the Lions season finale.
LB Jarrad Davis and CB Jarren Williams were also elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s matchup with the Vikings. Vikings fans may remember Davis from his first stint with the Lions from 2017-2020 where he was a staple on the Lions defense for four years.
After a 2021 season with the Jets, the second stint in Detroit has not gone according to plan. The veteran linebacker has played in just one game this season, but he looks to get more action in Week 14 against Minnesota.
Kickoff between the Vikings and Lions is scheduled for 12 PM CST at Ford Field tomorrow afternoon.
