Instead of Picking 34th, Vikings Do a Deal With Another Division Rival

When it was time for the Vikings to pick 34th, they decided to instead make a deal with the Green Bay Packers.

The Vikings traded out of pick No. 34. They’re getting picks No. 53 and 59 from the Packers.

Obviously, doing business with an NFC North rival will raise eyebrows, especially since yesterday involved the deal with the Lions. This deal provided much better value.

Green Bay moved up so they could snag Christian Watson. Apparently, GB made the same offer last night.

The Packers tried to trade into the first round to get WR Christian Watson at No. 32.

The Vikings said no late last night. They didn't want the Packers to get a fifth-year option with their WR. But the Vikings said yes to the same offer at No. 34.
