Each day, we select a quote about the Minnesota Vikings, uplifting the sentiment of the day or highlighting something notable.

The remark can come from a Vikings player, coach, writer, fan — or anybody, really. Selection of the quote is arbitrary. The excerpt may be insightful, humorous, groundbreaking, outlandish, or foolish. If you have a quote of the day (your own or from someone else), please send it to [email protected].

This quote is from March 29th, 2022, by Mark Wilf, an owner of the Vikings, discussing his expectations for the Vikings 2022 season:

“Our goals are the same as every year and I’m more excited than ever that we can compete at the highest level.”

– Mark Wilf | Minnesota Vikings

And here’s the official Chad Graff tweet:

This is noteworthy as it vocally affirms — for like the fourth time this offseason — the Vikings desire to win in the 2022 season. They’re not rebuilding. This new brand of general management, coaching staff, and core set of players is renewing playoff aspirations.

And the mentality isn’t universally loved. Some onlookers of the Vikings absolutely swore the team would rebuild after the terminations of Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman.

Those onlookers were wrong.

Now, the games must play out to determine “who was right” — the rebuild-it crowd or the sustainability faction of the Vikings community.
