It’s been a minute since we’ve had a chance to preview an actual Minnesota Vikings game. The Vikings last played over a week ago on Thursday Night Football against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Perhaps you heard about how that game went. For Week 15, the Vikings again find themselves in the primetime slate (God help us all) as they head to Chicago to play the Bears at legendary Solider Field. Ahead of that game and likely your first week of fantasy football playoffs, here are the Vikings to start and sit in fantasy lineups.

Kirk Cousins- Start

Kirk Cousins has been a hot topic for debate in this series during 2021. He’s had some terrific performances, but he’s also had a couple stinkers thrown in as well. As for Week 15, Cousins goes up against a defense that is trending towards no-handed rather than short-handed. The Chicago Bears have 29 players and three coordinators (including their DC) dealing with Covid, other illnesses, or injuries right now. Five of these players are defensive starters, including star safety Eddie Goldman.

The Vikings should attack this defense early and often en route to a big road win, and Cousins should be a big part of that. Start the QB and watch the points fly in.

Dalvin Cook- Start

Dalvin Cook went from an exploded shoulder to rushing for 205 yards in a matter of a week and a half. Now that he gets another week and a half to recover from his monster performance against the Steelers, who knows what we can expect from the star RB against Chicago.

Again, this Bears team is not nearly as strong as the normal Chicago Bears. And the normal Chicago Bears aren’t exactly a juggernaut to begin with. Cook should get a healthy number of touches once again, making him a must-start according to the Vikings fantasy football forecast.

Justin Jefferson- Start

If there’s anything that seems certain for the Minnesota Vikings, it’s that Justin Jefferson is going to get his. Jefferson has gotten 10+ targets in four of the last five games, and the one game he didn’t crack double digits, he had nine. The second-year star has been the one stable force on this Vikings offense.

With Adam Thielen likely out once again, that should continue in Chicago. Especially if the earlier forecast regarding Kirk Cousins is true, Jefferson will have a large role in the offense once again.

Tyler Conklin- Sit

Tyler Conklin had a few weeks towards the middle of the year where he recorded 50+ yards in back-to-back games and then a pair of touchdowns in another. However, after that point, Conklin has struggled a bit to put up some substantial fantasy numbers.

The Vikings will be playing their first cold outdoor game of the season, and even though it’s against the Bears, we might see them lean on their stars for production because of this. Conklin might see a limited role in the offense once again, so keep him on the bench.
