The Seattle Seahawks have historically performed very well against the Minnesota Vikings (7-0 in the Russell Wilson era), and it all starts with their offense. The Seahawks have evolved with Russell Wilson over the course of his career, and after relying on their “Legion of Boom” early on the quarterback’s career, they’ve become a high-flying, offense-first team. That should very well continue into this week’s game against the Vikings, so here are the players to include in your fantasy football lineups.

Russell Wilson—Start

This one should be a given. There really isn’t a game that Russell Wilson shouldn’t start if he is on your fantasy squad, but this one could be an especially good day for the veteran QB. Per usual, Wilson has gotten off to a hot start this season and has been torching defenses. He has six touchdowns compared to zero interceptions while also passing for 597 yards at a 74.1% completion rate.

The Vikings pass defense has not been great, either. Bashaud Breeland especially has had his troubles, so Wilson should get plenty of opportunities to throw. He could be in line for another 300-yard/3 TD performance.

Chris Carson—Sit

Chris Carson has not been the most efficient back to start the season (13 carries for just 31 yards last week), but his ability to find the end zone kept him as a viable option. However, the prior week he was held without a score while totaling 91 yards

To this point, the Vikings defense has given up big run totals, but they haven’t allowed too many big plays out of the running game. Minnesota is one of nine defenses that have not allowed a carry of 20 or more yards, and they are allowing just 4.2 yards per carry. I anticipate this being a high scoring game and a Vikings win, and part of the reason why will be Minnesota’s ability to keep Carson in check.

Tyler Lockett—Start

So far, Tyler Lockett has been the beneficiary of three long touchdown receptions this season, and he has eclipsed 100 yards in each game. He’s been a big play machine alongside Wilson, and that should continue this week.

The Vikings have been very vulnerable to explosive passing plays this season. The secondary has given up a whopping 13.5 yards per reception so far along with eight catches of 20+ yards. Lockett is also averaging 23.2 yards per reception; the only player with 10+ catches averaging 20+ yards. With these two trends coming to a head, Lockett should be due for at least one big play.

D.K. Metcalf-Start

It’s been a mostly quiet start to the year for the third-year receiver. Through two weeks, Metcalf has totaled just 113 yards and a touchdown. We’ve been through the Vikings pass defense already, but it has to be noted that Metcalf’s opponents (Indianapolis and Tennessee) haven’t been great either.

However, there is some reason to think Metcalf will bounce back. His target numbers were lower than normal in week one, but they bounced back last week with 11. The problem was he caught just six of them for 53 yards. As long as the target numbers remain high, he should be in line for at least a WR2 output.
