NFC North Wide Receiver Rankings

The NFC North wide receiver group has a bunch of talent and a boat load of potential. The division has many savvy veterans, up and coming superstars, and young players who have a lot of potential. With all of that talent, many of these receivers may not have elite quarterback play this season, which in part could affect their performance.

The Rankings

  1. Davante Adams

Adams has been elite for the past few seasons and he is only getting better. The seven year veteran hauled in 115 passes last season for just shy of 1,400 yards. Adams has elite route running ability, and can create separation with ease. It helps when Aaron Rodgers is throwing you the football, but there is a possibility there will be a new signal caller in Green Bay come the 2021 NFL season. Adams also caught 18 touchdowns in 2020, leading all wide receivers in that category.

2. Justin Jefferson

Jefferson put up historic numbers in his rookie season in Minnesota. The emerging superstar caught 88 balls and eclipsed 1,400 yards receiving in his first season in the NFL. That is unheard of. Jefferson broke Randy Moss’ receiving record in Minnesota and also griddy’ed his way passed Anquan Boldin’s yardage record as well. The scary thing is, Jefferson is only scratching the surface. He may not only be the best pass catcher in the NFC North by season’s end, he could be a top three receiver in the entire NFL.

3. Adam Thielen

A lot of people probably expected Allen Robinson’s name to be here, but I think Adam Thielen could be in for a huge year in 2021. Thielen was just shy of a 1,000 yard season, and he would have surpassed that threshold if he didn’t have to sit a game because of COVID-19. The wily veteran also reeled in 14 touchdowns in 2020, and made a ton of highlight reel receptions. Thielen more than likely only has 2-3 more really good seasons ahead of him, but 2021 could be a very nice year statistically.

4. Allen Robinson

Robinson has always put up big numbers, even with subpar quarterback play. The Bear’s wide receiver hauled in 102 passes for roughly 1,300 yards last season. Robinson has been very unhappy with his situation in Chicago, but many wonder if the selection of Justin Fields has turned that around.

5. Darnell Mooney

Mooney had a fantastic rookie season in Chicago, catching 61 passes for 631 yards and four touchdowns. Mooney gives the Bears a deep threat that they haven’t had in quite some time. He and Justin Fields could create a very exciting duo for years to come.
