Vikings announce practice squad
After yesterday’s cut deadline set the Vikings’ active roster going into Week One, the team has now officially announced 13 of 16 positions have been filled on their practice squad. The first move that Minnesota made involved claiming linebacker Ryan Connelly off the waiver wire.
Connelly is a two year player out of Wisconsin that was a surprising cut from the New York Giants yesterday after his 2019 season was cut short due to injury.
The addition of Connelly left the Vikes with too many linebackers, and they were forced to part ways with four year pro Hardy Nickelson. The team also announced that UDFA safety Myles Dorn was added to the IR. Here is a full list of the official squad members as of Sunday afternoon:
