Vikings/Actor Nick Swardson (Friend of the Site) Troll(s) Green Bay/Aaron Rodgers, Breaks Vikings Internet in Process

It’s a slow news day, but even if it wasn’t I would have to cover this story as it’s A) Hilarious and B) relevant to the site. Actor/Comedian Nick Swardson, of movies like Grandma’s Boy and Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star, is a gigantic Vikings fan. He grew up in St. Paul and has made his fan-dom part of his act (He has a great story about hanging out with Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and the moral dilemma that that created).

He’s been on our Podcast (Which you can listen to HERE (It’s NSFW)) to talk the team and has been really a great friend to the site/show. Here’s the Tweet he sent out that broke the Vikings Internet/Zeitgeist last night…

Sure, it’s not strictly team related. But the goal of purplePTSD is to keep fans up to date on what people are talking about and this was a gigantic topic last night. Some said it was a low blow, others said that it was well deserved because Packers fans don’t show a ton of tact when they come to US Bank Stadium. Other sites covered this and I’d really like your guys’ opinion on whether or not this crossed the line!

Considering I’m partial to Swardson, I think it’s one of the things that makes football so fun. Rivalries are part of human nature (I bet regardless of whatever city you live in while reading this, you hate the city next to you simply for existing) and that extends beyond football, but makes football and sports in general really fun. However, the last thing the Vikings need going into the 2017 season is a riled up Aaron Rodgers. So, this may backfire big time. Too. Especially considering that the Vikings official Twitter account go into the action, as well!

My reasoning is that if the Vikings are okay with it, it’s good enough for our site! But, again, it may end up doing more harm than good when it comes to riling up one of the most elite QB’s in the league/really, and it pains me to say this, ever.
