The Minnesota Vikings added yet another new hire to the front office.

After hiring a new general manager and a new head coach this offseason, the leadership rebuild continues. This morning, the news emerged that the Minnesota Vikings are hiring a new VP of Football Operations, Demitrius Washington.

Washington’s most recent role was as the manager of football research and development for the San Francisco 49ers, where he “managed and oversaw the department’s efforts in optimization and process improvement and developed predictive and statistical analysis for player evaluation, acquisition and strategy.”

Washington worked with San Francisco since 2015. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was with San Francisco from 2013 to 2020, so they know each other.

The Vikings have landed a new VP of Football Operations, and he will work closely with Kwesi on evaluating and acquiring players. Welcome to Minnesota, Demitrius Washington.
