As most analysts know, the Vikings had a great draft and a stellar off-season so far. The Vikings improved greatly along their offensive line, and improved their defense at all levels. One analyst who was thrilled with Minnesota’s draft, was CBS Sport’s Pete Prisco.

Prisco went onto say this about the Vikings,

“The Vikings have had a good offseason re-stocking the roster. They’re bigger on the offensive line — which they had to do — and they’ve added some nice pieces on defense. Mike Zimmer will have this team back in the playoff hunt.”

The CBS analyst had the Vikings at #16 in his power rankings, which is four spots higher than what they were before the draft.

Where do the Packers, Bears, and Lions land?

Prisco had the Packers ranked at #4 in his power rankings, but implied that they are only that high if Aaron Rodgers is playing in Wisconsin next season. He went on to say, if Rodgers is on another team, they will be towards the bottom of the entire league.

Regarding the Bears, Prisco had them drop all the way to spot #23. Down 10 spots from before the draft. Prisco was happy with the Justin Fields selection, but thought the timing was interesting for the organization.

The Lions sit towards the bottom at #30. Which isn’t anything new for the team out of Detroit. The Lions are rebuilding, and they know it. Prisco was very happy with Detroit’s draft, but said they have a long ways to go.
