Despite the ugliness of the Minnesota Vikings overtime win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, there were some big positives as well. One continued positive since the bye is the development of rookie corner Cameron Dantzler.

I’ve been tough on the needle, but he’s greatly improved and deserves his own recognition before we get into the meat of the article.

Highest / lowest PFF grades from Vikings / Jaguars

As I stated above, the Minnesota Vikings had an ugly win over the mostly atrocious Jacksonville Jaguars this past Sunday, but it wasn’t all bad, as there were bright spots throughout the day.

Let’s take a look at the top and bottom grades from Sunday’s contest, courtesy of our senior writer Nick Olson on Twitter.

First, the good news…

As you can see, the Vikings young defense had a (surprisingly) good game Sunday. If they can bring things together and the rest of the team can limit their mistakes?

Who knows what will happen down the stretch!

Then again, there’s this…

The main thing that sticks out to me is that three of the Vikings offensive lineman (Reiff, O’Neill and Cleveland) had a good to great game. Yet again, though, left guard Dakota Dozier had a grade around or below 30 for the fourth time this season.

As I said over a week ago, it’s time for Brett Jones to fill in either on the left or the right (they could flip Cleveland to his natural side on the left).
