MNF in Philly and then the Saints in London are exciting games. Nevertheless, I’ll be excluding them from this exercise since they got leaked early. We now know the complete schedule, so let’s turn to the 3 most exciting games in the Vikings schedule.

Game #3:
Week 1, Packers
U.S. Bank Stadium

The new regime doesn’t get to ease their way into leading the Vikings. The opening game comes against their arch rivals: the Green Bay Packers. They’ve won the division for three straight years, and Kevin O’Connell is looking to put an end to the trend. Taking down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers would be enough for Vikings fans to get back onto the purple hype train.

Game #2:
Week 12, Patriots
U.S. Bank Stadium

I’m Canadian, so I celebrate a different Thanksgiving than my American neighbors. Nevertheless, the day is still special to me because it’s a random one where football is on all day. Having the Vikings at home against New England is going to be a treat. By this point, the season will be marching toward its conclusion, so every game feels more and more meaningful. This is one of two prime time games for the Vikings.

Game #1:
Week 11, Cowboys
U.S. Bank Stadium

The top spot in this entirely subjective exercise goes to Dallas. I know, I know, no one wants to give the Cowboys more attention. Here’s the thing, though: last season’s loss to the Dak-less Cowboys was a turning point in Minnesota’s season (at least in my mind). The Dallas game is part of a critical stretch at home (they’re at home from Week 11 to 13). The season will be mature enough for us to know who has a shot at the playoffs. If all goes as planned, both of these teams will be pursuing the NFC’s limited number of playoff spots.
