Predictions for the Vikings vs Colts game and every other Week Two matchup

Now that Week One is over and we’ve actually seen each NFL team in real games, these predictions will get even more fun. Last week I went 12-4 in my predictions and even though it’s doubtful I will continue doing that well, I will continue having fun writing them.

All times in Eastern Time

Thursday, September 17

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns-8:20 p.m.

Both the Bengals and Browns disappointed in their first games, and now that they’re going up against each other, it’ll be interesting to see how the game plays out. The Browns didn’t look good at all, but they did play the Ravens. Following Joe Burrow’s mediocre first game, he is going up against a decimated Browns secondary. Final score prediction: 21-14 Bengals win

Sunday, September 20

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans-1:00 p.m.

The Jaguars actually won their first game, thanks to Gardner Minshew as well as a Marlon Mack injury. However, they will have a bigger challenge when they go up against Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans. The Titans got a last-second win against the Broncos, and the Jaguars should be easier competition, allowing the Titans to flex their muscles. Final score prediction: 24-10 Titans win

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers-1:00 p.m.

The Buccaneers had to face off against one of the best teams in the league in Week 1, the Saints. Even though they didn’t look great, that isn’t really a fair statement. The Saints were just that much better than them overall, skewing how they looked. The Panthers looked decent in their matchup against the Raiders, and could make it a game. Whenever Christian McCaffrey is in a game, there is a chance. Final score prediction: 27-25 Panthers win

Denver Broncos at Pittsburgh Steelers-1:00 p.m.

The Broncos are certainly a work in progress, especially without Von Miller on defense. They will need to be in top form when they go up against the Steelers, who played very well against the Giants. Their defense was outstanding and Ben Roethlisberger looked healthy enough to lead them to the playoffs, Final score prediction: 20-7 Steelers win

Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles-1:00 p.m.

The Rams looked like a pretty complete team in their matchup against the Cowboys, and it should be even easier against the Eagles. The Eagles did not look good at all against Washington and the Rams are a much better team. Final score prediction: 21-13 Rams win

San Francisco 49ers at New York Jets-1:00 pm.

The Jets didn’t look good against the Bills, and it won’t get easier this week, even though Richard Sherman just went on IR. The 49ers offense should have a field day against the Jets, especially their rushing attack. Final score prediction: 24-14 49ers win

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins-1:00 p.m.

I think this game will be a lot closer than people expect. The Dolphins pass defense is alright, and Josh Allen might need to perform well to lead the Bills to victory. I think the Bills wealth of talent should be enough to overwhelm the Dolphins, especially on defense. Final score prediction: 21-20 Bills win

Minnesota Vikings at Indianapolis Colts-1:00 p.m.

The Vikings had a problem stopping Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in Week 1, but this week should be much easier. Philip Rivers does not really extend plays and their star running back is out for the season. Malik Hooker and Darius Leonard are going to be a challenge to go up against but the bevy of options for Kirk Cousins should be enough to lead to a win. Final score prediction: 24-20 Vikings win

Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers-1:00 p.m.

This game should not even be close. The Packers stretched their legs with an easy win against the Vikings and the Lions are second-class to even the Vikings. I know that’s not necessarily how the NFL works, but the Packers should easily coast in this game. Final score prediction: 38-13 Packers win

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys-1:00 p.m.

The Falcons gave the Seahawks a challenge in their first game, and while the score didn’t really  show that, they looked better than people thought. The Cowboys, as usual, were very disappointing and I think this game might be even worse for them. Final score prediction: 28-24 Falcons win

New York Giants at Chicago Bears-1:00 p.m.

The Bears looked much better than I thought they would, and I think this game should be relatively easy for them against the Giants. Saquon Barkley will look for a bounce-back matchup after a disappointing first game and that should make it close, but the Bears should win. Final score prediction: 23-20 Bears win

The Washington Football Team at Arizona Cardinals-4:05 p.m.

Arizona upset the 2019 NFC Champion in the first week and this game should be monumentally easier than that first matchup. Washington has a lot less talent than that team, but has an interesting cadre of pass rushers, including Chase Young. I think this will be one of the better games this week. Final score prediction: 20-17 Chiefs win

Kansas City Chiefs at Los Angeles Chargers-4:25 p.m.

The Chiefs should easily stretch their legs in this game. The Chargers only barely beat the Bengals, and they’ll need to do much better to even give the Chiefs a challenge. Patrick Mahomes will have to go up against Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, but it should be an easy win. Final score prediction: 33-15 Chiefs win

Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans-4:25 p.m.

This is a tough stretch of games for the Texans, as they have to face off against Patrick Mahomes and then Lamar Jackson. That’s a bit unfair but it is what it is. The Ravens will be a tough team to go up against, as they looked outstanding in their first game, while the Texans looked like they missed Hopkins and D.J. Reader. I think this might be closer than usual, but the Ravens will flex. Final score prediction: 28-20 Ravens win

New England Patriots at Seattle Seahawks-8:20 p.m.

The Patriots defense looked very good, and their offense looked decent with the addition of a new run option in Cam Newton. The Seahawks flexed their offensive muscles against the Falcons, but this game will be more difficult. I think this will probably be the best game of the week. Final score prediction: 28-27 Seahawks win

Monday, September 21

New Orleans Saints at Las Vegas Raiders-8:15 p.m.

The Saints are one of the more complete teams in the NFL. While their offense usually gets the headlines, their defense is also very good, including stars like Cameron Jordan and Marshon Lattimore. They are a difficult team to go up against, and the Raiders will need to be firing on all cylinders just to keep pace on both sides. . Josh Jacobs is a great running back and Derek Carr and the rest of the offense might make it a game, but I think the Saints will win thanks to a lack of great talent for the Raiders on their defense. Final score prediction: 35-19 Saints win
