If he sticks around Minnesota for his career, Justin Jefferson may go down as the best receiver in franchise history. For a team that has had Randy Moss, Cris Carter, Jake Reed, Stefon Diggs, and Adam Thielen (among others), that’s no small feat.

If he happens to have a strong Year 3, Jefferson may catapult himself into some prestigious company:

As the tweet notes, snagging 1472 receiving yards will put Justin Jefferson into the top 10 for Minnesota receivers. He’d have gotten there after only three seasons, a remarkable feat.

Looking to some of the other main categories is also impressive.

He’s currently tied for 20th for receiving TDs with 17 through his opening two seasons. Getting 11 more would put him in a tie with Steve Jordan for 10th overall. He’s 21st for the amount of receptions; he has 196 in his career. Diggs is at 10th overall with 365. In other words, Jefferson won’t reach the top 10 in 2022, but a couple more strong seasons will get him there.

By this point, we’ve all been impressed with all that Justin Jefferson has accomplished in Minnesota. When his rookie contract is done, he’ll likely find himself in the franchise’s top 10 for catches, yards, and TDs.

Moving forward, the main goal is that all his individual accomplishments will coincide with more team success. He’s done far more than anyone could have hoped for. He’s the team’s best player overall and someone who opposing defenses need to continually worry about. It’s that attention that makes life easier for the rest of the offense. Kevin O’Connell and Wes Phillips will be leaning on the young receiver to lead this offense. If things go as expected, the Vikings offense ought to put Minnesota in a position to compete in 2022.
