There are few if any, players this century that exemplify the Vikings organization more than Chad Greenway. Despite retiring a couple of seasons ago, the great linebacker is as busy as ever thanks to his foundation and his new(ish) Vodka company, Gray Duck Vodka. He described what drew him to the idea of entering the liquor industry as a guest on our flagship podcast, ‘Morning Joes’ this week as well as on the Friday Football Feast on KFAN this morning. We here at the purpleTERRITORY Media Network have been working with Chad and Gray Duck for about six months, which has culminated in a Gray Duck bottle signing/tasting/event that is taking place today, Friday, October 4th, at 5pm at McDonald’s Liquor and Wine in the Nokomis Neighborhood in South Minneapolis!
Chad will be at the event signing bottles of Gray Duck, which will be 20% off the $24.99 price (for a 1.75) and $19.99 (for the liter bottle) as well as one item of your choice (per bottle purchased). There will be a tasting of Gray Duck Vodka (straight, with lemonade, ginger beer, bloody marys, etc.). Beyond that there will be beer from Big Axe and multiple wines to taste on the main floor of the store, so you should be able to have a good time should there be a wait in the tasting room!
There will also be a silent auction courtesy of another site sponsor, Total Sports Enterprises! They have an exclusive memorabilia contract with most players on the Vikings and the team itself. They’ll have items ranging from autographed jerseys/helmets (I’ve had my eye on a signed Vikings helmet from Randy Moss for a while now) to framed and autographed pictures from some of the greatest moments in team history! Click Here to find more of their current offerings online!
The event will take place from 5 to about 6/6:30 (depending on the turnout) at McDonald’s Liquor and Wine in South Minneapolis. The store is located at 5010 34th avenue South, 55417. That’s near Lake Nokomis, about 10 blocks North of the airport, and the 50th and Hiawatha light rail stop! Click Here for Directions.
As stated above, there’s still room for you to RSVP! Feel free to bring your friends and family! You don’t need to RSVP but it helps us determine how many people are coming and how much of certain items to bring!
