Recently, Justin Jefferson appeared on NFL Total Access.

He notes how he’s excited about progressing beyond “a run-first offense” and that everyone is “excited” about the “different vibe” Kevin O’Connell is bringing. The third-year WR notes that he has an “endless list” of personal accomplishments that he’s pursuing. He then goes on to indicate that “at the end of the day, I want to be a Hall of Famer.”

Now, we’re a long way from seeing Justin Jefferson in Canton. That being said, he has done essentially all he can to have put himself on the path for the Hall of Fame.

Hop over to his PFR page to get a snapshot of his accomplishments through two seasons. He followed a 1400-yard rookie season with a 1616-yard sophomore season. He cleared 100 catches and hit 10 TDs in Year 2. He has been to two Pro Bowls and been a second-team All Pro in his opening two years. He came in at 53rd on the 2021 NFL Top 100 list and found himself on the NFL All-Rookie Team after his opening season.

The advanced stats have been similarly impressive for Justin Jefferson. PFF suggests that he’s been elite in each of his two seasons. A 90.4 grade in 2020 was 2nd overall; a 90.1 grade in 2021 was 4th overall. There’s very little reason to believe he won’t put together more strong grades in 2022.

He’s already 18th on the all-time receiving list for the Vikings franchise. Jefferson has 3016 yards. Kyle Rudolph – who may come back to Minnesota – sits at 10th with 4488 yards. If Justin Jefferson gets to 1472 receiving yards in 2022, he’ll officially be in the franchise’s top 10. Minnesota has had some tremendous pass catchers. Getting into the top 10 after only 3 seasons would be incredible.

Now, there’s a lot more that can be accomplished. Continuing his elite production, snagging first-team All Pro distinctions, and finding success in the playoffs will cement his spot as one of the best receivers in NFL history. Winning MVP is close to impossible for a receiver. Offensive Player of the Year, though, is possible. Obviously, the more accomplishments, the better the chance of being placed alongside the best ever.

Justin Jefferson is only 23.
