Is Kirk Cousins Cool?

I’m not so sure…

This is a question that has plagued the minds of Viking’s fans since the beginning. Ever since the Cousin’s family stepped off the plane, I’ve tried to understand the psychological aspects that make up my quarterback. We’ve all heard of the tight schedules and philosophical metaphors, but what is Kirk really like off the field?

Pretty Women

Being on social media can be a gateway to hilarious content and embarrassing memories. This video of Cousins from highschool has been played on my phone no less than 300 times.

This has taught me everything that I’ve ever wanted to know. Kirk actually has a tremendous voice, but as a starting varsity quarterback, it’s difficult to envision him as a star in the choir room. Cousins attended Holland Christian High school and graduated in the year 2007. I can’t even imagine the year 2007, but apparently, it was full of boot-cut jeans.

As I dive deeper into the psyche that is Kirk Cousins, it’s important to note that he is a tremendous human being. I’m just not too sure that he’s cool. The more I think about it, the more I believe he might have been the only starting high-school QB to ever be made fun of. But Cousins actually did the coolest thing I’ve seen him do by joining an episode of Pardon My Take on Wednesday. PMT is the number one sports podcast in the world and regularly pokes fun at the Viking’s QB.

This interview was a ton of fun, and if you’re looking for a way to burn 30 minutes, I highly recommend it. They talk about all the reasons why Kirk has the image of a clueless middle-aged dad. It also goes to show how nice of a reaction Kirk has to all of the jokes he gets.

That’s my QB

Everyone has their own reason for being pissed off at Cousins. It could be his less than stellar play at the start of the season, or it could be his persona entirely. Whatever it is, Cousins doesn’t care. He doesn’t care about the bullying and he’s over the embarrassment of his choir days.

That’s my quarterback and no pictures of him wearing socks and sandals will change that. One last thing, if you’re looking for a solid bowl of cereal, look no further than Kirk’s “cinaMINN snaps.” Pick up a box and support the Kirk Cousins Foundation at your local Hyvee, today!
