Note: If it isn’t painfully apparent, this site and every site under the UFFda! Sports banner is run by a group of people who first-and-foremost love the Minnesota Vikings (or Wild, or the Draft, or any NFL team). While at this point it is and there is no excuse for the audio issue(s) we’ve had the last couple of weeks, know that few of us … Know what we’ee doing. As the owner and host of this show that I am SO proud of, I am to blame for that and am not using my audio tech ignorance as an excuse but rather as an explanation. Over thr last month I’ve opened lines of credit to buy all new equipment (mics/laptopS (plural)), upgraded our internet to the fastest available in the free world, and still the sound of my voicr skipping persisted (which is probably a benefit for listeners?). I finally solved it, with a $15 headset mic from Best Buy. I wish I was joking.
That having been said; this shouldn’t happen. Period. I know first hand how hard it is to develop a podcast/show following, and despite the efforts of my team and some amazing content the last couple weeks were unlistenable. I am sorry for that. I also wanted to apologize profusely to the team at KDLM Radio in Detroit Lakes. We’re expanding our show (audio and video) offerings and will most likely hire a top end producer to assist with the sound quality as it is an issue that pops up from time to time and it’s clear that my political science/sociology of law degrees can’t solve these issues (most likely because it doesn’t come with a cheat sheet with terms before each midterm or final that negates the need to buy or open any course materials? $20k later all I remember learning is how to compare and contrast Wikipedia entries!
We hope that you will the show another shot and challenge you to check out this episode with all it’s $15 mic glory and then compare OR contrast it (didn’t see that coming!) with any show or pod on the market!
