Wildcard weekend is nearly here!
With the Vikings getting the weekend off, and awaiting the results from this weekend (and the news of who they’ll need to prepare for), who are you “rooting” for? Who do you want to avoid?
I really don’t fear many teams in the NFC, especially, to be honest. I do feel like the Rams are playing very well these past few weeks, with Gurley beasting, but I think that Zimmer and company will be too strong for the second year QB that is Goff. Now, I was watching the Colin Cowherd show for some reason (that dude gives me the creeps), and he basically just picked the “better” QB each round and ended up with Brees and Brady in the Super Bowl. He picked Goff over Keenum, which I disagree with (They have similar numbers with Keenum throwing like 6 or so less TD’s, the same amount of INT’s at 7, and Keenum having about 600 less yards, but Keenum also had a much higher completion percentage and is more mobile, so I’d take Keenum, but whatever).
We can’t face the Falcons in the Divisional Round, so it’s up to the Saints and Panthers, who we could face if the Rams fall to the Falcons. I really do think we’d destroy the Panthers at US Bank Stadium… You take those 3 takeaways… Away and the Vikes would’ve had that game in Carolina and the defense just had a rough day and I don’t see that happening at home in the playoffs. So, it’s the Saints and Payton and Brees (and Kamara) who I’ll admit I fear the most, but a lot of that has to do with 2009 and knowing that I’d be extremely upset if we lost to the Saints again… I was talking to Nick Swardson on Twitter about the Vikes and I think he put things into perspective the best possible way by saying:
So.. What do you guys think? About the potential teams and also my amazing humble brag about Swardson?
