Vikings Promote QB Kyle Sloter, Bradford a Game Time Decision

According to ESPN, Vikings QB Sam Bradford is a game time decision for Sunday’s game against the Steelers. His twice surgically repaired left knee swelled up after Monday night’s amazing performance against the Saints and it was so swollen and painful that he underwent an MRI. While those results were negative, the team was still “concerned”.

That much is obvious by the fact that they promoted Sloter as a back-up to Bradfords back-up, Case Keenum. Word is that the Vikings plan to work out Bradford before the game and if things don’t look good, he won’t play. That’s a huge blow to a team that played amazingly Monday night and an offense that was essentially built this off-season to take advantage of Bradfords strengths. They need him, so hopefully he can play or if he can’t, the week of rest will put this knee issue to rest (could be the only silver lining), as you don’t want this to be a nagging issue all year. Either way, though, it sucks.
