Vikings 2020-21 Schedule Info

While we’ve known for a while now who the Vikings would be facing during the 2020 season, the when/where of that situation has yet to be explained. That’s typically how the NFL releases their schedules, but with the new reality that is COVID-19, people have been waiting with bated breath to hear when the NFL season will be back (and what that will look like).
According to an NFL exec (per NBC Sports), a lot of that remains to be seen:
“I’m very confident of a 16-game season with a Super Bowl in February, I didn’t say I was confident in 16 games with a bye, or what week in February the Super Bowl would be, or if every team will play eight games in their home stadiums, or whether there will be fans at every game. There’s more information that’s needed before we have these answers. Teams are just going to have be flexible.”
While some have said that the NFL might have a 12-or-14 game schedule, if we’ve learned anything about the NFL it’s that money rules everything and it is (sadly) looking like the NFL would rather forgo the pre-season/training camp than any of the 16 games that bring them their billions of dollars each season.
I say unfortunately not because I’m the world’s biggest pre-season football fan, but rather because for a league that has worked very hard to show that it takes the health of it’s players seriously during the CTE era (or the era of CTE awareness, rather), forcing a bunch of players to risk their health by going to camp (and thus massively increasing their chances of contracting COVID-19), or forgoing camp and putting a bunch of unprepared players on the field for 16 games with no Bye week, seems wrong.
That having been said, this is a football website and I also fear going all of 2020 without actual football to talk about. So, let’s take a look at the Vikings’ opponents in 2020 (and then, during the Virtual Schedule Party tonight, we can fill in the best)!

- The Vikings will face the Saints on Friday, December 25th (aka Christmas).
