Chris Tomasson: Vikings One of Four Teams in the Running for DB Nickell Robey-Coleman

Looks like the Vikings aren’t done adding free agents to the team… According to the Pioneer Press’ Chris Tomasson, the Vikings are one of the four teams that are in the mix to sign free-agent DB Nickell Robey-Coleman formely of the Buffalo Bills, that has the best name for the position he plays since Pitt’s kicker, Chris Blewitt.

The Vikings lost nickel corner Captain Munnerlyn to the Carolina Panthers last week, so this move would make a lot of sense. Although, some people have pointed out that Robey-Coleman is extremely undersized and could end up costing more that Munnerlyn, who was acclimated to Zimmer’s system and an increasingly great asset, which kind of dampens any excitement. So, while this wouldn’t probably end up being a net positive (In terms of play or the salary cap), but it would help the Vikings correct a net negative and focus on less positions in next month’s draft.

Stay tuned for updates!
