The 2024 Senior Bowl is well underway with the second day of practices taking place on Wednesday morning and afternoon.

It was a big day for a number of prospects hoping to raise their draft stock before the 2024 NFL Draft takes place in April, and some of the biggest risers from Wednesday’s session came from prospects of smaller programs, including an underdog QB prospect.

Every year, there is at least one underdog quarterback prospect taking part in the Senior Bowl. This year, that QB is Carter Bradley out of South Alabama. Bradley possesses a very strong arm, which allows him to uncork accurate passes downfield. He also brings decent size to the table at 6’3″ and 218 pounds.

The QB showed off that strong arm on Wednesday, and more importantly, that he belongs in the draft conversation alongside the other prospects at the event. He hit Tulane WR Jha’Quan Jackson on a deep corner route and showed some great anticipation throughout the afternoon.

Kentucky RB Ray Davis

Wherever Ray Davis has gone, production has quickly followed. The running back has spent time in three separate FBS programs throughout his collegiate career (Temple, Vanderbilt, Kentucky) and put up 1000-yard seasons in each of them.

Now, the running back has spent the past two days showing off his skills at the Senior Bowl. The first thing anyone will notice about Davis is his build. He has tree trunks for legs, and at 5’8″, 224 pounds, the running back is compact, powerful, and a burden for anyone trying to tackle him. On top of some strong running, he hauled in a sweet one-handed catch during 1-on-1 drills today.

Missouri DL Darius Robinson

Gabe Hall owned the morning session on the defensive line for Tuesday while it was Darius Robinson out of Missouri who shined brightest on Wednesday. At 6’5″ and 286 pounds, Robinson is a powerful run stuffer in the middle of the defensive line, and those skills were on full display Wednesday afternoon.

Robinson racked up 14 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks over the course of the 2023 season with the Tigers, and he seems to be solidifying himself as a potential Day Two prospect in April.

CB Quinyon Mitchell

Quinyon Mitchell has put together a truly ridiculous collegiate career at Toledo over the past few years, but this week, he’s been matched up against some of the best receiving competition he’s ever seen on the National team at the Senior Bowl.

The cornerback has fully lived up to the hype, and during the 1-on-1 drills, he had a great interception while in coverage against Brenden Rice. He also showed off his wheels while keeping up with the speedy Roman Wilson. Mitchell is making a name for himself and should be in the conversation as one of the first defenders off the board in April.

USC RB Marshawn Lloyd

Marshawn Lloyd easily looks like the best running back at the Senior Bowl after the second day. He had a strong first outing, but he really took the limelight on Wednesday. The USC running back showcased some powerful running, and during the team drills, he hauled in a nice reception on a wheel route from QB Bo Nix.

After three years at South Carolina, Lloyd transferred to USC in 2023, and he was a workhorse in the Trojans offense, totaling 820 rushing yards and nine rushing TDs. His impact as a receiver was called into question, though, so it’s nice to see him showing off his soft hands this week.
