Josh Frey, God bless him, is going to be taking the lead on the news surrounding Vikings roster cuts. The news will likely be coming fast and furious tomorrow, so you’ll want to ensure you’re coming back to Purple PTSD throughout the day.

So far, our Vikings have made three cuts following the final preseason game. The team announced that they decided to move on from RB Ito Smith (who was just brought in), C Cohl Cabral, and DT Zeandae Johnson. Our Vikings are now left with 76 players ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. As the Vikings.com article explains, every “NFL teams must reduce their rosters to 53 players by 3 p.m. (CT) Tuesday, Aug. 31.”

Our various roster questions will soon have their answer.

The roster, in other words, has a long way to go, so be sure to keep swinging by Purple PTSD so you don’t miss a thing. Heck, you should even toss a few of your clicks at Vikings Territory; they’ll also have some great stuff going on over there.

One thing is certain: Rick Spielman is never shy about pulling off big moves. Perhaps he has something up his sleeve for the coming days. Stay tuned.
