Dalvin Cook Involved In Serious Legal Situation

As I’ve said at various points, there are things in life that are just far, far more important than football. Late last night, the news emerged that star running back Dalvin Cook is involved in a serious legal situation.
PFT is reporting that there are currently two lawsuits. The first is Cook claiming that he is the victim of domestic abuse: “Roughly a year ago, someone unlawfully entered Cook’s house. The female who did it, is a sergeant in the U.S. military, attacked Cook in his home while he had a guest present. The invader then allegedly tried to extort Cook for millions of dollars, claiming that she suffered injuries during the course of the attack that she allegedly initiated.”

Later that night, PFT reported that the woman who Cook accused of abuse has filed her own lawsuit: “Gracelyn Trimble, a Sgt. 1st Class in the U.S. Army, alleges assault, battery and false imprisonment after she flew to Minnesota to break up with Cook and retrieve her belongings, according to the lawsuit. She is seeking unspecified monetary damages.”
The Vikings are aware of the situation and released a statement: “[we] recently received notification from Dalvin Cook’s legal representative regarding a situation that occurred between Dalvin and a female acquaintance in November 2020 and led to an ongoing dispute between the parties. Upon learning of this, we immediately notified the NFL. We are in the process of gathering more information and will withhold further comment at this time.”
Obviously, the Dalvin Cook legal situation is far more important than NFL football. We’ll keep you informed as more details emerge.
