Announcing Our New Partnership: VikingsTerritory.com is Now Part of the purplePTSD Network (and Vice Versa)!

As some of you may have heard,  we at purplePTSD have entered into an agreement with the fellas at VikingsTerritory.com this week. We are essentially sister sites now, part of the same company, essentially, which will help in many ways (most Vikes fans check more than one site each day for news, we can x-post content and create more customized sales packages, etc.). The guys at VT have been super supportive of our site from the get-go and are amazing, I just wanted to let everyone know that this just means that there’ll be more content on the site and that it’s not going anywhere or changing (nor is VikingsTerritory.com)! This was just the most common sense move and now that we’re together, we could say that we’re the largest independent Vikings network there is! Talk about a dream come true. Honestly, that’s because of the support you guys (our readers/followers on social media) have given us. We have the most active and supportive reader-base and your support has helped us every step of the way, so I wanted to keep you guys in the loop and also say that perhaps you could join VikingsTerritory on Facebook and Twitter (You can also follow purplePTSD on Twitter, Facebook and that scribbling on the rest stop wall up near Brainerd).

When I started purplePTSD back in May of 2015 after a prolonged argument on Reddit about Trae Waynes, I honestly thought of it as a hobby that I would use pretty much therapeutically to share my (apparently) unique point of view with a couple friends. I was working on building my ad/consulting agency and didn’t think of purplePTSD as anything but the place I went to vent about the Vikes and at points, just troll people on Reddit. Because of you guys, our amazing followers/readers (and really the people on /r/MinnesotaVikings on Reddit… In a love/hate way), the site essentially started growing by itself and has become my primary focus as I really thought of it as a pipe dream back then. But, you guys have been so freaking amazing that we’ve grown organically to become one of the largest independent Vikings websites there is in a really just about a year of actually hunkering down and producing new content every single day.

On top of the VikingsTerritory news, we also just crossed 9,000 followers on Facebook today! I can’t believe it! I can’t explain how much this means to me! I feel like my dream is coming true and have felt that way for awhile but it felt like it was a really slow process, but now with VT I feel like we skipped ahead a few years and now really will be a formidable group of readers/contributors.

The Vikings coverage/writers world is a very small place. I believe that I do business the “right” way and because of that, I made a lot of connections and friends in the industry. Part of that was a budding relationship with Adam Warwas and Brett Anderson of VikingsTerritory.com, which is THE standard when it comes to independent Vikings coverage. We’ve worked together here and there and they’ve been really, really amazing and because of that, we’ve decided to make our connection official and essentially combine our efforts into one company with separate, but equal websites (equal in regard to the attention paid on each, as obviously VT is >>>>> purplePTSD in regards to name recognition, traffic, sex appeal, etc.).

So, as of yesterday, purplePTSD and VikingsTerritory are now sister sites! We will be working over the course of the next year to strengthen both sites while keeping them separate, but equal while growing both as content creators and as a business. While there will be some x-posted articles between the sites, you won’t really notice a lot of huge changes on either (outside of the amazing forum we’re going to build and use one each!). The goal was to create the largest independent Vikings network and I really believe that this move accomplishes that. So, I definitely suggest that you guys check our VikingsTerritory.com after you check out our page each morning, as we have a broad range of writers/opinions and content/media. We are looking to grow/expand as quickly as possible and none of this would’ve been possible if not for the support you guys have given purplePTSD and this will be something that improves purplePTSD and VikingsTerritory and I couldn’t be more excited about the new partnership!
