Looking back at last season, these were the numbers that Jordan Mason produced:

He has averaged 5.1 yards per carry, 3.4 yards after contact per carry, and a first down or touchdown on 26.6% of his runs, all ranking third among the 56 running backs with at least 300 carries. He is also the only running back in that group with a positive grade on more than half of his carries.”
While he may be overlooked when it comes to drafting early, the notion of a Jordan Mason fantasy sleeper is well worth the bloom and the gamble if he falls to the later rounds.
Another factor that could benefit a Jordan Mason fantasy sleeper stud season: age. Mason, who just turned 27 on May 24, is soon to be entering the prime of his career, which could mean an uptick in touches compared to the 31-year-old Aaron Jones Sr.

“That efficiency has translated to fantasy success whenever he’s been given a lead-back role,” Jahnke said. “Mason ranked as the RB10 in PPR leagues over the first seven weeks of 2024 while Christian McCaffrey was sidelined, and he averaged 14.5 PPR Points per game across four starts for Minnesota last season, 16th among running backs during that stretch.”
Overall, Mason ranked in the top half among qualified running backs with most of his numbers, including a top-15 finish in yards per attempt (4.8), and 10th in yards after contact per attempt (3.41).
His final PFF grade for his first season in the purple and gold was a 74.4, which placed him in the top 25.
So, despite having the task of sharing touches with Aaron Jones, it’s very possible to say that 2026 could be a Jordan Mason fantasy sleeper stud season. He won’t likely win a championship for a team right from the jump, but he secretly could turn into a great stash pick to have for insurance in case of injuries.
